The 100th Day of School crown is one of my students’ absolute favorite activities, and it’s a great way to make this milestone extra special. I like to rotate students through several themed stations on this day, each designed to be engaging, hands-on, and independent. This crown activity is not only fun, but it also gives students a chance to practice counting by tens and number sequencing. Best of all, it’s super easy to prep and can be set up in a bin so students can work independently at their station!
100th Day of School Crown Prep
This 100th Day of School crown is super easy to prep!
First, copy the “100 Days Smarter” school house onto regular copy paper.
Next, copy the pencils and/or school buses onto regular copy paper. If you’d like, you can also use colored card stock, especially if students won’t be coloring the pictures themselves.
Last, prep strips of construction paper that measure 3″ x 18.” Students will sequence the numbers 10–100 on the strip. Then, they will glue on the schoolhouse to complete their 100th Day crown.
100th Day of School Crown Station
As I mentioned earlier, students rotate through several stations during our 100th Day celebration.
To keep things organized and accessible, I place all the materials in bins so students can work independently.
For this station, I include the schoolhouse printable, number cards, and 3″ x 18″ construction paper strips, along with crayons, markers, colored pencils, scissors, and glue.
I also add a completed crown as a visual example for students to reference if needed.
100th Day of School Crown Directions
First, students color their “100 Days Smarter” schoolhouse printable using crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
Next, students color their buses or pencil number cards. They will sequence these cards by 10s on their strip of construction paper.
Then, they cut out the schoolhouse and numbers.
Once the numbers are in order from 10–100, students glue them onto the construction paper strip.
After that, they attach their schoolhouse to the strip.
Finally, students (or a teacher) measure their head and connect the ends of the strip to complete their crown.
