Then, copy the eyes on white construction paper or card stock.

After that, copy the hair and bun on gray construction paper or card stock.

Last, copy the glasses, pearls, bowtie, and shirt on a variety of brightly colored construction paper or card stock so the students can mix and match.

You can also choose to print all of the craft pieces on white paper and have your students do all of the coloring.

100 Year Old Writing Prompts

After you make copies of the 100 year old craft, you will want to copy the writing prompt sheets on regular copy paper.

There are four prompts to pick from, three that include writing and one that is strictly drawing (great for hesitant writer’s).

100 Year Old Craft for Kids Directions

Once everything is prepped and ready to go, it is time to introduce this 100 year old craft for kids to the class!

Before students head off to independently complete their own prompt, we create a class anchor chart with a variety of examples.

Once they complete the sentence, they have the option to add a picture with crayons, colored pencils, or markers.

Then, they cut out their prompt and set it off to the side while they assemble their 100 year old craft.

If you went with the print and color option, I recommend having the students color everything before cutting and assembling.

If you printed on colored paper, students can go straight to cutting out all of the pieces. This step is great for building those important fine motor muscles!

Once everything is colored and cut, it is time to put the 100 year old craft for kids together.

First, glue the hair or bun on the top of the head. Then, attach the ears to the head.

Next, glue the eyes on top of the glasses before adding them to the face. After that, attach the head to the shirt.
