As the school year winds down and your kinders gear up for summer, keeping them engaged can feel like a challenge. That’s exactly why I created these end of the year centers for kindergarten—so you can wrap up the year with low-prep, high-engagement activities your students will love! With 20 hands-on math and literacy centers, your classroom will stay focused, productive, and full of joyful learning right up to the last day of school. These end of the year activities are perfect for center time, morning tubs, early finishers, or small-group reinforcement. Math End of the Year Centers for Kindergarten
These ten math end of the year centers for kindergarten include kid-friendly “I Can” visual direction cards to help your students work independently with confidence. Each center also comes with a printable response sheet for meaningful follow-up practice, reinforcing key math skills in a fun and engaging way.

Rolling into Summer
Students will roll a die (1-6 or 7-12) to determine which number to color/trace on the graph with this math center.
Bubbly Shapes
For this center, students will identify 2D or 3D shapes. They will use a clothespin to mark the shape that matches the real-world object inside the bubble.
Splashing Sums
During this center, students will decode and solve 12 addition word problems.
Subtraction Picnic
At this center, students will decode and solve 12 subtraction word problems. After decoding the word problem, they will model the problem on a ten frame.
Fishing From Ten
At this center, students will decompose the number 10. Frist, they will spin a number on the work mat and cross off or cover the fish. Then, students can write the number sentence using a dry erase marker on the bottom of the work mat.
Ice Cream Numbers
For this center, students will roll a die and write the numbers that come either before and after or next.
Sunscreen Teens
With this math center, students will build each bottle of sunscreen by matching the number, double ten frame, and base ten blocks for the numbers 11-20
Summer Measurement
At this center, students will measure the height of various beach-themed items using a unit of nonstandard measurement.
Skip Counting Seashells
For this center, students will skip count to 100. There are two versions of the center included (one counting by 5s and one counting by 10s).
Sandy Number Lines
For this end of the year center, students will use a number line to complete each addition or subtraction problem. They can model each equation by using a dry erase marker or manipulatives. Once they have found the sum/difference, they will match the correct sand pail to each equation.

Write the Beach
At this write the room center, students will segment and record words with –nk and –ng. The center includes three versions: –nk only, –ng only, and mixed, as well as with and without the supporting word.
Beach Time Words
During this CVC center, students will spin the onset and rime of a CVC word. Then, they will blend the two parts together to form either a real or nonsense word.
Surfing with Words
With this end of the year center, students will decode 24 CVCe words. Then, they will match the word to the surfboard with the correct picture.
Splashing Floss Words
At this center, students will decode words that follow the floss rule (-ff, -ll, -ss, and -zz). The center includes 16 word and picture pairs. Students will match the water splash with the picture to the word on the pool card.
Sandy S Blends
For this blends center, students will decode CCVC words with s-blends. After decoding each word, the students will match the word to the correct sand pail.
Scooping Up Blends
At this end of the year center, students will decode CCVC words with r-blends. After decoding each word, the students will match the correct ice cream scoop to each cone.
Swimming with Blends
For this center, students will decode 12 CCVC words with l-blends, including bl-, cl-, fl-, gl-, pl-, and sl-. After decoding each word, the students will match the word to the correct bottle of sunscreen.
Basket of Digraphs
At this center, students will sort words with beginning and ending digraphs. There are two versions of the center included. The first version has students sort the words by beginning digraph (ch-, sh-, th-, and wh-). The second version has students sort the words by ending digraph (-ch, -sh, -th, and -ck).
Camping with Rhymes
For this center, students will identify rhyming words by matching a tent and bear paw print. There are five one-syllable pairs and five two-syllable pairs included.
Digraph Campout
At this center, students will decode CVCC words that end in -ck. There are 16 word and picture pairs included. Students will match the bunny with the picture to the correct sleeping bag with the -ck word.
