The end of the school year is near, and your little learners are buzzing with energy! As attention spans shrink and excitement for summer grows, keeping students engaged can feel like a challenge. That’s where end of the year theme days come in! These fun-filled days transform learning into an adventure, making the final weeks memorable and meaningful. From the beach to the pool, these theme days keep kids learning (and laughing!) right up to the last day. Try one (or more) of these end of the year theme days as you countdown to summer!

Top 10 End of the Year Theme Days
Glow Day
Turn off the lights and get ready to shine, as your students review math and literacy skills, with these Glow Day activities and games! This end of year theme day includes math and literacy glow in the dark centers, as well as a glow stick science experiment!

Pool Party
Get ready to splash into summer, as you review math and literacy skills, with these Pool Party activities and centers! Enjoy a full day of fun and learning with 18 math and literacy centers, as well as a sink or float science experiment.

Bubble Day
On Bubble Day, the students make a bubble solution recipe for bouncing bubbles on their hand, determine the best bubble blower for making the biggest bubbles, compare the anatomy of a bubble to an Oreo, and make a bubble wand. This end of year theme day incorporates all of the subjects including math, science, ELA, art and STEM!

Marshmallow Day
During Marshmallow Day, the students design and construct a marshmallow shooter, measure objects around the room with marshmallows, and create a solar oven that will melt their marshmallow and chocolate for their solar s’mores. Students won’t even realize this end of year theme day integrates math, literacy, science, and STEM!

Popcorn Day
Similar to Bubble Day and Marshmallow Day, this Popcorn Day integrates all subject areas including science, math, ELA, art, and STEM! Students investigate popcorn using their five senses, complete a Poppin’ Corn experiment, and practice sight words and syllables with a popcorn theme.

Beach Day
Grab your sunhat and pack your beach towel for a classroom Beach Day! With The Case of the Beach Bandit Escape Room, students will dive into six or eight different math and literacy centers. At the end, they will discover who has stolen the missing beach bag. For this end of year theme day, I love to have students come to school in their beach attire for an extra splash of fun!
