The end of the year is a monumental milestone for our little learners! It means another year of school has come and gone, and it is time to get ready to move up to the next grade level. Did I mention… no candy or gifts are needed for these end of the year awards for students?! Just print, and that’s it! Discover my top three no prep end of the year award ceremony ideas below!
End of the Year Student Awards Idea #1
Printable and Digital End of the Year Student Awards
One of my favorite ways to celebrate students at the end of year is with these printable and digital end of the year student awards.
The first step is to pick an award for each student. There are 110 awards, making it easy to choose the award that best fits each student’s characteristics, talents, and academic successes.
To make students feel extra special, each award can be customized with the student’s name, date, and name of the teacher. Prior to printing, edit the awards using the editable and autofill fields. If you wish, you can also hand write the date and names.
Then, print each award on regular 8.5 x 11 inch paper or colored card stock. Like I said, no gifts or candy needed!
These awards can be given out during your end-of year classroom party or at your student awards ceremony… check out idea #3 below for more details!
End of the Year Student Awards Idea #2
Student Awards Crown
Another great way to recognize what makes each student special are these student award crowns.
Just like the printable and digital end of the year awards, these crowns can be personalized with student names. Simply type their names into the editable form, and the names will automatically populate on each crown.
Students can decorate their crowns with crayons, markers, colored pencils and more.
After securing the band, the students can proudly wear their award crown around school for everyone to see!
I like to pair these crowns with the printable student awards, so their families have a treasured keepsake to cherish for years!
End of the Year Student Awards Idea #3
Student Awards Ceremony
Roll out the red carpet and throw an end of the year student awards ceremony! To build excitement for the big event, send an invitation to students and their parents/guardians (optional) prior to the end of the year awards ceremony.
With the editable invitations, all you need to do is add the date, time, and location, along with any other important information you wish to include.
On the day of the awards ceremony, set the stage with a red carpet entrance. You can roll out an actual red carpet, lay down red butcher paper, or simply project the digital backdrop.
Before handing out each award certificate, give a quick description of the award. Encourage students to make guesses about the potential recipients. Continue to heighten the excitement with the included digital drumroll sound effect.
As you share the slide for the award, confetti will automatically drop, creating a truly unforgettable celebration!
Once the digital student award appears and the name of the recipient has been revealed, have the student walk the red carpet to receive their award on “stage.” The rest of the class can clap and cheer for their fellow classmate!

As a dedicated Kindergarten teacher for nearly 20 years, I believe the words “fun, play, and creativity” can sit right alongside the words “developmentally appropriate, engaging, and rigorous.” Learning is meant to be fun and messy!
