Halloween Activities for Science
Science experiments are always a hit! These Halloween activities for science will instantly boost engagement at your Halloween party!
Flying Ghost Science Experiment
For the Flying Ghost experiment, blow up a white balloon and secure the end with a binder clip. Draw a ghost face on the balloon and tape a straw to the back. Thread about 15 feet of string through the straw and tie the ends to two chairs. Move the chairs apart to make the string taut. Remove the binder clip and watch the ghost fly through the air!
Floating Ghost Science Experiment
For this Floating Ghost experiment, start by drawing a ghost face on a white balloon. Pour ยฝ cup of vinegar into an empty water bottle and fill the balloon with 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Secure the balloon’s opening around the top of the water bottle. Gently lift the balloon upright so the baking soda falls into the vinegar. The reaction will produce carbon dioxide, inflating the balloon. Be cautious, as too much pressure could cause the balloon to pop loudly.
