With easy prep and quick assembly, this masking tape mummy is one of my favorite Halloween crafts to create during our classroom Halloween party! Not only does this mummy Halloween craft help strengthen fine motor skills, as students work on tearing and sticking masking tape to their FREE mummy outline (which can be found at the end of this post), it is also simple enough for preschool and kindergarten students. This mummy craft is sure to look spooktacular on your Halloween bulletin board!

Mummy Halloween Craft Supplies
- Mummy outline
- 9×12 black construction paper
- 1 inch masking tape
- Googly eyes
Mummy Halloween Craft Directions
First, you will need to print the FREE mummy outline, which can be found at the bottom of this post.
Next, trace the mummy onto black construction paper using a white crayon. You can choose to cut out the mummies ahead of time, or for a little extra scissor cutting practice, you can save this step for your young learners.

Next, I demonstrate how to tear and stick the pieces of masking tape onto the mummy outline, making sure to overlap each piece. I explain how to lay the pieces in different directions in order to cover all of the black construction paper.

Once the mummy outline is covered, it is time to add the googly eyes.
