With final countdown activities, end-of-the-year awards, memory books, student gifts, and slideshow, the end-of-the-year is an emotional and bittersweet time for students, teachers, and parents. To add to this nostalgic feeling, I created a self-portrait class t-shirt that I would gift to my students on the last day of school. I know they will enjoy this sentimental keepsake as we commemorate the “TEE-riffic Year” we had together!

SELF-PORTRAIT CLASS T-SHIRT SUPPLIES
To create the self-portraits, I had my students use the Notes app on my iPad Pro. I found that it was easier for them to draw their portraits using an Apple Pencil. The shape and size of the Apple Pencil was much like that of a regular pencil, making it easy for the students to grip and control while drawing the fine details of their portraits.

SELF-PORTRAIT CLASS T-SHIRT TUTORIAL
Once I had saved their self-portraits, I could begin creating my class composite. To create the design, I used PowerPoint and saved the design as a PNG that I would upload to Custom Fun365. Please watch the video tutorial below for easy to follow step-by-step directions on how to use PowerPoint to create your class composite.
