All About Me Activities Prep
I like to prep these all about me activities before the school year even begins!
With just a few quick copies, this back to school craft will be prepped and ready to go!
All About Me Backpack Craft
There are two options for the backpack craft.

You can print the pieces for the craft on a mix of brightly colored construction paper or card stock or you can go with the print and color option.
All About Me Writing Pages
The “All About Me” pages can be printed on regular copy paper. There are twenty-eight different all about me activities to choose from. Select the pages that work best for your students.

Each of the all about me activities have just the right amount of writing for your little learners!
All Are Welcome Read Aloud
Before starting the all about me activities, I like to read “All Are Welcome” by Alexandra Penfold.
In this story, readers journey alongside a group of children as they navigate a typical day at their school, a place that embraces everyone warmly. Here, students from diverse backgrounds not only learn together but also joyfully share and honor each other’s customs and beliefs.
After reading this story, we discuss how our differences make us special and the importance of accepting others for who they are.
I remind students that this all about me backpack craft is an opportunity for all of us to get to know one another and to celebrate our unique backgrounds.
All About Me Activities Directions
With 28 all about me pages to choose from, customizing this back to school backpack craft to fit the needs of your students is easy! You can complete as many or as few all about me activities as you would like with your students.
I like to work on one to two pages a day and save each page until we are ready to assemble them into a book.
Each time we work on a new page, I have several students share what they plan to write and/or draw on that page.

This is helpful for reluctant writers, especially at the beginning of the school year.
Once, we have completed all of the all about me activities for our backpack craft, it is time to cut them out.

Then, we put the pages off to the side before assembling the backpack craft cover.
If you did the print and color option, you will want to have students color each part before gluing them together.
After the covers are assembled, it is time to put the all about me activities together.

Simply stack the pages in order and then staple them together at the top of the backpack.
Once our all about me backpacks are complete, I have the students share their “All About Me” books with their classmates.

We do this across several days during morning meeting. It is a great way for the students to learn more about their classmates!
Then, we put our all about me craft on display as our back to school bulletin board. Families are also able to enjoy these back to school crafts during curriculum night!
