Snowman Soup DIY Snowman Face Mug
With less than two weeks left until our classroom holiday party, I am frantically working to get my student gifts wrapped and tagged. Earlier this month, I was on the hunt for a plastic snowman face mug to hold my snowman soup kits. After coming up shorthanded, I found these DIY Color Your Own Mugs from Oriental Trading and had the perfect idea!
I received free product from Oriental Trading in exchange for writing this post. All creative ideas and opinions expressed are purely my own.
SNOWMAN SOUP MUGS
I decided I would craft my own snowman face mug using these DIY mugs and my own snowman face inserts. They turned out better than I imagined, and how perfect would they be for a hot chocolate party?!
I simply printed the inserts, which are two to a page, laminated them and cut them to size with my paper cutter. Then, I removed the insert that came with the mugs and tucked in the snowman face. Aren’t they adorable?!
SNOWMAN SOUP RECIPE
The Snowman Soup kits are fairly simple to make. All you’ll need are the following items:
- Hot Chocolate Packet
- Mini Marshmallows
- Candy Stirring Stick
I grabbed most of my items, along with the DIY mugs, from Oriental Trading.
SNOWMAN SOUP STUDENT GIFT
Once I had all of the kits neatly packed inside the snowman face mugs, I bagged the mugs inside a clear cellophane bag. To secure the bags, I used a jingle bell necklace… which I’m sure the kiddos will love to wear as they are drinking their Snowman Soup.
I also attached a cute Snowman Soup poem, explaining how to use the kits.
If you’d like to make your own DIY snowman face mugs and Snowman Soup gifts, you can grab the inserts and poem for FREE!
