Celebrate Christmas, as you review math and literacy skills, with these highly engaging Christmas centers! The Case of the Missing Cookie Christmas Escape Room involves 6 or 8 different Christmas centers / challenges where students eliminate the suspects and discover who has stolen the gingerbread man!

These Christmas centers can be used as a Christmas Party or Christmas math and literacy centers.

Take the stress out of planning a Christmas Party that is magical and educational with these Christmas Escape Room activities! This will be a Christmas your students never forget!

Set the stage with a note from the old lady:

Where, oh, where,

Is the gingerbread man?

Find him, find him,

If you can!

Someone took our treat,

From the plate.

Hurry, hurry,

Before it’s too late!

Complete each challenge.

Then, read the clue.

Eliminate the suspects,

And save him too!

After the students complete each challenge, they will receive a clue from the culprit. A suspect will be eliminated after each challenge. Once all the Christmas centers have been completed, they will have eliminated all but one suspect!

There are 4 math and 4 literacy Christmas centers included. Black and white option included. Targeted skills:

• recognizing word families
• segmenting CVC words
• identifying digraphs
• composing sentences
• decomposing ten
• identifying missing numbers 0-20
• ordering numbers and counting by 10s
• building number sense with subitzing

The Challenges:

1. Present Challenge – Segment the CVC word and match the correct present to Santa’s sack.
2. Gingerbread Man Challenge – Identify the beginning digraph (ch, sh, th and wh).
3. Train Challenge – Identify the word family and build each train.
4. Light Challenge – Build each sentence, write the missing word and color the lights to match.
5. Peppermint Challenge – Count the peppermints and color the ten frame. Write the number sentence.
6. Stocking Challenge – Use the number line to identify the missing number.
7. Ornament Challenge – Order the ornaments by 10s.
8. Tree Challenge – Assemble each tree with the correct number, domino and ten frame.
