The *Turkey Craft: Decomposing Turkey Thanksgiving Math Craft & Activities* was the perfect seasonal resource to reinforce number sense and decomposing numbers in my kindergarten classroom! My students were so excited to create their own turkeys, and they didn’t even realize how much math they were practicing while doing it.
The craft was easy to prep and included clear directions, which made it perfect for a small group or even a math center. The visuals were adorable—my students loved the friendly turkey design and proudly showed off their work once completed. It was also a great opportunity to practice fine motor skills while applying their understanding of number bonds and decomposing numbers in a hands-on way.
This activity aligned beautifully with our math standards and added a festive touch to our November bulletin board. It truly made learning feel like fun and brought a lot of excitement to our classroom during Thanksgiving week. Highly recommend for any early elementary teacher looking to mix creativity with meaningful math practice!
