Mother’s Day Gifts #1: DIY Tile Coasters
These hand-drawn DIY tile coasters are easy to create, and they actually turn out super adorable (no Pinterest fail here)!

The total estimated cost per student is about 40 cents with the felt pads, or just under 20 cents without them. This means the total cost for an entire class set of Mother’s Day gifts is $5-$10!
Here is a quick breakdown for how to make these DIY tile coasters!
Step 1
First, pick a template! There are three Mother’s Day templates included, allowing students to create a tile coaster for a parent, guardian, or any loved one. Choose from:
- I (heart) YOU!
- I (heart) MOM!
- I (heart) MUM!
Just print the selected template for the Mother’s Day gifts on regular copy paper and use a paper cutter to neatly trim each square.
Step 2
Using an Ultra Fine Sharpie marker, have the students draw a picture of themselves and their parent/guardian.
Step 3
Once their picture is complete, they will color the words, boarder, and picture with colored pencils.
Step 4
After the students are finished with their creations, use Mod Podge to adhere the square template to the 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch ceramic tiles.
Step 5
The next two parts are optional!
I like to spray the coasters with a sealer to protect them from water damage. If you don’t think they will touch anything wet, go ahead and skip this step.
I also highly recommend adding felt pads to the bottom to prevent scratching any surfaces, but again, this step is completely up to you!
Step 6
The final step is the cherry on top! To wrap this Mother’s Day gift, place the finished tiles in a small box or paper bag!

Next, address the gift tag, color the picture, and attach it to the DIY tile coasters.
Mother’s Day Gifts #2: Print & Go Cards
These no prep cards make it easy for your students to send a heartfelt ” I love you!” to a parent, guardian, or special loved one! This is one of those Mother’s Day gifts that is great if you are short on time but still want something thoughtful and personal!
First, choose from ten front covers and four inserts to best fit the needs of your students.

Next, print the cover and insert back-to-back and fold it in half.
With crayons, colored pencils, or markers, have your students decorate the cover.
Then, they can write a short note on the inside of the card and sign it with their name.
Mother’s Day Gifts #3: Questionnaire
These Mother’s Day questionnaires are always a hit! It is so much fun for the students’ special person to read their little one’s unique perspective about them.
First, choose from seven questionnaire options to easily fit the needs of your students.

Depending on the age of the students, you can complete these whole class, in small groups, or 1:1.
Once the questionnaire is filled out, students can color around their sheet with crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
