This penguin craft went perfectly along with the penguin life cycle book. The kids loved learning reviewing the cycle with the spinning wheel and sharing what they learned with others. I prepped all of the pieces and cut out some of the harder shapes for my preK kids. We assembled the craft as a whole group, going step by step watching me. The top part of the wheel with the cut-out window slice is delicate, so I left the point in tact, put tape on `both sides of the center and then hole-punched it so it wouldn’t tear as easily when you put the brad fastener in. They all turned out slightly different and definitely cute!
