With the beach theme centers from The Case of the Beach Bandit End of the Year Escape Room, your students will be highly engaged as they complete 6 or 8 different challenges to eliminate the suspects and discover who has stolen the missing beach bag!
These beach theme centers can be used for a Beach Day, an End of Year Party, a Beach Day Escape Room, or end of the year themed math and literacy centers.
Make the end of the year a memorable (and learning-filled) celebration with these beach day end of the year escape room activities!
Set the stage with a note from a beach goer:
I had a beach day,
Scheduled and planned.
But first I need you,
To lend a hand!
The beach bag is gone.
Where did it go?
Who could have it,
I do not know!
Complete each challenge,
And when youāre done,
Eliminate the suspects.
One by one!
After the students complete each challenge, they will receive a clue from the culprit. A suspect will be eliminated after each challenge. Once all of the beach theme centers have been completed, they will have eliminated all but one suspect!
There are 4 math and 4 literacy beach day activities included. Black and white option included. Targeted skills:
- recognizing beginning blends (bl & br)
- building CVC words
- identifying rhyming words
- composing sentences and recognizing high frequency words
- decomposing the numbers 11-19 into base ten
- finding the missing part in a number bond
- measuring with nonstandard units
- subtracting from 5
The Challenges:
- Clam Challenge – Stretch out each CVC word. Identify the letters and build the word.

My kindergarteners loved this! We used it for Mystery Day as part of our end of the year countdown. It was easy to organize and set up. Everything was here! I just needed to print and go. It has great activities to review skills learned in Kindergarten and some are even great as challenges for more advanced groups of students.
