FILE #1 – The Trace & Build Name Mats in the first PDF are designed to print on 8.5 x 11″ paper. For this size name mat, there is a 9 letter maximum.

FILE #2 – The Trace & Build Name Mats in the second PDF are designed to print on 8.5 x 14″ (legal size) paper. For this size name mat, there is an 11 or 12 letter maximum.

FILE #3 – The Trace & Build Name Mats in the third PDF are also designed to print on 8.5 x 14″ (legal size) paper. This file will accommodate names with 12 or more letters. However, please be aware that the magnetic letters will most likely be larger than the actual printed letters on the name mat.

All fonts are embedded directly in the PDF file. You will need Adobe Reader, which you can download for free, to edit this file.

Even though we are halfway through the year, some of my students still need help with their name. This has been super beneficial as morning work, small groups, and even our writing rotations.

  6. Mellodie S. –

The creator gives options for writing names which allows for individual differences. We laminated the card stock printed name then put in dry erase folders along with a marker, felt eraser, and foam letters for matching.
